Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
The church was established in 1955.
What is your primary product or service?
Our Mission
We exist to bring God glory by enjoying Him through grounding others in community, rooting them in Christ, and releasing them to bear fruit in the world; while teaching others to do the same.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Jesus Centered Worship
Life consists of ascribing worth to either the Creator or the creation. In everything we do we worship whether we believe it or not. So our desire is not to just worship (we already do that) but to have the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ be the drum that is beating in our life. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:31 “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God”, so our everyday tasks are opportunities for Christ to be glorified. We want to take advantage of every opportunity. This is Jesus centered worship.
Jesus Centered Community
Jesus centered community is a radical call to genuine community amidst a culture of attendance and casual involvement. This community is characterized by a consistent and genuine love for Jesus that is expressed and experienced in each other. When community is not characterized this way it leaves the realm of Christ and evolves into mere social clubs. We do not desire more social clubs but intentional Jesus centered groups of people who love God and others more than themselves and seek to see their neighborhoods enjoying Christ in all His fullness.
Jesus Centered Discipleship
Discipleship is to create worshipers or disciples of Jesus Christ and to help teach others about Christ in such a way that He is worshiped and enjoyed. Ultimately Jesus centered discipleship is about training leaders who will then train other leaders to influence people to learn about Jesus so He is enjoyed in all aspects of life. In 2 Timothy 2:2 Paul encourages Timothy to pass on what he has learned from Paul to other faithful men. This is the essence of Jesus centered discipleship.
Jesus Centered Missions
Jesus centered missions is being a part of God’s reconciling work in the world. All through Scripture we see this mission of God being carried out and was manifested most beautifully in Jesus Christ. So whether through acts of service, short-term mission trips, neighborhood outreach, or supporting other believers overseas we are taking part in God’s reconciling work around the entire world. We were not saved to try to navigate through life without any discomfort but we are to take risks and trust Christ through the process. Jesus Centered missions is pushing back the darkness in a dark world with the light of Jesus Christ for the glory of His name and the enjoyment of His people.
Jesus Centered Multiplication
To love and enjoy Christ is to reproduce this love and enjoyment in others. We are called to take the light to a dark world. This takes intentionality! God has been creatively intentional by placing you in the context where you live now (where you live, work, and play), because he loves the lost around you. We are then filled with eternal purpose all around us. If God was intentional, we should live with intentionality in all that we do. We live with the intention to multiply, to make God known and enjoyed in all that we do and in everyone around us. When this takes place the fame of Christ grows and we multiply.

What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best compliment anyone could give is that they see the love of Jesus reflected in our people by the way they love, serve, and work!
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God," (2 Cor. 5:21). This is one of our favorites because this is the Gospel! Jesus Christ did that which we could not do for ourselves. He took our place to satisfy the wrath of God and paid the price for our sin. We deserved death. Yet, He took our place, although He was sinless! If we repent and believe, then we become righteous through that shed blood! Praise the Lord!
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works," (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
God has given us everything we need for life and godliness in His Word. If we want to know Him and how to please Him, then we read His Word. It is true from cover to cover. It does not contradict. It has stood the test of time and guides, molds, and shapes our lives. "It's sharper than any two-edged sword." It is different than any other book in the world because it connects with the very Spirit of the God that dwells within us to make us more like Him.
